Party Planning – let the fun begin!
It is fun to throw a party, be it birthday party, holiday get-togethers, house warming, wedding party, imagine the happiness of being together with family and friends, the fun children will have. With so much to accomplish, it is quite a task to know where do I start. Let the party preparation be part of the fun we can enjoy, and share the ideas and hints below, planning your party will be just as fun and enjoyable as the party itself!
6 weeks before the party
General Ideas. Throw yourself with these questions for this memorable celebration party you are planning: what is the suitable party theme? Where is the place I can use as venue? Will I be preparing food & beverages? How many guests I plan to invite to the party? Shall I get help from a friend in this preparation? These are basic but important questions to ask before you start planning for your party.
4 weeks before the party
Questions. Decide on the above question and get a piece of paper to do a simple check list:
» Choose a party theme
» Venue : my house, hotel ball room, pool side, my favorite restaurant?
» What type of food & beverages : appetizers for early birds, light and easy munch food for the busy playing kids, serious meals for the adults, desserts, beverages
» Who am I inviting? :
» Who can help me in preparation? :
» What party decoration can I use?:
» What party activities?: mindteaser games, party games, guessing games…
» Do I want to prepare party favors for guests to bring home? :
2 – 3 weeks before the party
Invitations. Send out invitations to party guests. Generally 2 weeks are good timing to send out invitations to give sufficient time for your guests and yet close enough to your party so that they remember. In addition, they will likely know whether your date suit there schedule.
3 weeks before the party
Details. Follow up with your invitation to see how many guests you invite will be coming. You do not wish to under or over provide party supplies. Use the period of time to list down your shopping list for food, tablewarers, party decorations, gifts, balloons.. for your celebration day! You can order these party supplies from Bug’s Party.
4 days before the party
Start preparing. Get ready to start preparing your goodies bag and party favors, you do not wish to be caught in situation to do this last minutes, besides, there is perfect time you can do it leisurely and check stock for your party supplies. Make your last shopping trip to make sure you have everything ready for the big occasion!
1 day before the party
Final check. Go through your check list to finalize all details. Do some cleaning to your venue, put up party decoration in comfortable pace. Start to prepare non-perishable food while you have time. This will give you a lot of comfort knowing time is on your side, and also enjoy the excitement that your party is now almost ready to be enjoyed by everyone!
Day 0
The Day. After all the preparation, now is the time. Rule No.1 - stay relax! Do some gardening, go for hair cut, shop for a nice outfit for the party, to take your mind off to over-worry about the party. After all the preparations, you want to look perfect and radiant, after all, you want to enjoy the party with everyone and have fun!
Hours before the party
Get Organized. Get your close friends and neighbors to help run the party smoothly! They can keep close eyes on final food preparations, make sure the beverages are in the ice, keep the serving tray full, or anything that can help you out. So, the good time is here, put on your favourite attire and get yourself ready to greet your guests, let your hair down to enjoy the celebrations.
